Welcome dear parents for another edition of newsletter for the month of January . We would like to share an exciting and thrilling news with you. Dr. Abdul Kalam will be part of our Science Expo on 9^th February 2012. His gracious presence will make our day very special and unique. We will have with us students and teachers of Shishuvan School for the same event which will add more beauty to it. It will be a great learning experience for all of us.

Academics

We ended with our Formative Assessment-4. The students of Olive have shown great

improvement. More is expected from them as I know they have more potential. The syllabus for Summative Assessment-2 is already given to the students.

My special thanks to Mr Iyer for taking another interactive session of Science. Thank you for taking out time from your busy schedule.

Republic Day Programme

I want to appreciate all the students of Junior and Senior Choir who participated on 26^th January 2012. It was a wonderful show. Keep up your good work.

Leap Start Programme on Physical Education was a grand success. The students as well as the parents appreciated the programme a lot. Thank you so much.

Preparation Time

Now its time for all the students and teachers to show their creativity in the field of science. Let’s bring our childhood back and work with the same spirit.

The students have already started with a big bang.

Debate

Debate Competition of Junior and senior classes was also organized in the school. The students were well prepared for the debate. Their research work and data collection must be appreciated. In junior category Red House and Yellow House and in Senior category Green and Yellow House reached the finals. Everyone has already started preparations for the finals.

So we can all see that the year has started on a good note. We sincerely hope that the students will keep up their efforts throughout the year.
