Exchange programs are important learning spaces for all. They are excellent opportunities to gain experiences, to step out of comfort zones ,widen their horizons, adopt best practices, ground learning and much more.

This year we have begun exchanges with other schools and organizations that can contribute to expanding our horizons. During the exchange, our students are usually accompanied  by our teachers so as to facilitate the relevance of the experience, highlight the connections, provide the security and help bring the experience back to school spaces.

This year ,the exchange program between The Orchid School and Riverside School, Ahmedabad was our pioneering national collaborative effort.

This was the first exchange with our school and we were indeed privileged to host their students and teachers. 22 students of Std. VII along with their 3 teachers visited our school on 25th and 26th of January 2011. They spent these two days with our Std. VII students and teachers to understand our school program, teaching practices, learning methodology.

In November, our grade VIII students reciprocated this visit and also another group from the same level visited Shishuvan school, Mumbai.

In April, our students along with two teachers are visiting ANET (The Andaman and Nicobar Environmental Team)at the Andamans. ANET is an environmental non-governmental organisation on the southern tip of South Andaman Island to conduct research programs towards understanding of the diversity, distribution, and ecology of the islands' fauna and flora.
