First day circular

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the new academic year!

The TOS team is glad to announce the CBSE Affiliation. The year ahead would be a year to cherish the past successes and an opportunity to build on the future possibilities of your child .The team welcomes you to partner and experience the joy of learning.

Please note the following information and changes for this academic year.

1. Academic Cycle –

a. April 2011 to March 2012 for Std. VIII and IX

b. June 2011 to March 2012 for Nursery to Std. VII

2. Academic Year - Will end on 9th March 2012 for all classes after which

a.Children will have a short yearend break.

b.The new academic session for 2012-13 will begin for

STD I to X on 26th March 2012

Jr. KG and Sr. KG.  on 29th March 2012

c.From 20^th April 2012 the summer break will begin for all children.

3.Fee due dates-

2^nd installment-1^st August 2011

3^rd installment-1^st November 2011

4^th installment-2^nd January 2012

4.Last working day of every month will be a ’ Half Day ‘ for students of

Std I to IX [8.30 am to 12.30 pm] - This time will be utilized by staff for monthly review / monthly submissions and training.

5.Olympiads - will be held after school hours [3.15 pm to 4.00 pm]. Students opting for this examination will have to be picked up personally.

6.Std VI to IX work for two Saturdays in a month.

7.P.E uniform - to be worn on days that will be specified by the class teacher.

8.School shoes- The school shoes have been changed this year, considering the durability. They are available at Champion Sports.  However, if your child fits into the old pair of brown shoes he can continue using it and purchase the new one once it is worn out.

9.All the textbooks, notebooks and belongings need to be duly labeled.

10.‘Get to know each other’ – appointments will be sent in your child’s diary. This is a platform for you to know your child’s class teacher and for the teacher to know you and your child.

11.Diary- Parents need to fill in the forms in the school diary. The duly filled in   medical form needs to be submitted within a month.

12.A to Z parent handbook – Read it carefully as it provides information about the people, policies, and procedures of the school.
