Important Circular – Cycle Change 2010 – 2011 and 2011 – 2012
Dear Parents (VII & VIII)
This is to inform the Parent community on the status of CBSE. We are awaiting inspection for affiliation from CBSE in the coming month/months.
As we all are aware, we begin Class IX in the next academic year.
To align with CBSE curriculum pattern and their CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation) pattern, the academic cycle has to be changed from June-April to April-March.
This cycle change will happen gradually in 2 parts –
Year 2010-2011 for Classes VII and VIII and Year 2011-2012 for Classes I to VI. Pre-Primary academic cycle will remain untouched. This change will not have major effect on main holidays - Diwali, Christmas and May month. However with cycle change, fee installment cycle too will change.
4th installment of fee for 2010-2011 session will be pre-poned by one month – Fee challan will be given on 3rd January 2011 and due date will be 4th Feb 2011
First installment (40% of the year fees) for 2011-2012 session -- broken into 2 parts of 20 % each (1A and1B). Both the challans will be given with the STD VII and VIII
Report on 22nd March.
Installment 1A –20% of 1st installment - Last date - 25rd March-11
Installment 1B – 20 % Last date -27th May-11.
Cycle of 4 installments and the percentage however will remain the same.
The cycle change decision has been made after series of discussions and deliberations within the school core team. We have also taken valuable inputs from other CBSE school Principal’s who have implemented this cycle change. The PTA and the Class Parent Volunteer group have been taken on board, about the same on a long meeting on 23rd October’10. Parents of Classes VII and VIII were called this morning for a special meeting as these two classes are directly affected with this change this year.
However there are some implications on the current calendar and program – some events moved and exam cycle preponed. See next page. Make note of changes in your personal school calendar accordingly.
Note –
• Dates not mentioned in this list, remain the same on the school calendar.
• The exhibition event ‘My Punya Nagari ‘has been called off due to the academic cycle change.
Current session for Classes VII and VIII will end 12h March 2011. ( 14th March onwards two weeks break)
New session for VIII and IX will begin 28th March 2011
• School begins for - Academic Year (Next year) 2011 – 2012 :-
o Classes I to IX on 1st June 2011
o Junior KG and Senior KG on 7th June 2011
o Nursery on 15th June 2011
