Subject – Rural Camp for Class VII-Jade

Dear Parents

As a part of the integrated curriculum, our Class VII students are going for an overnight rural camp. Here they stay and visit organizations working for the rural community, an initiative towards experiential learning. We look at this camp as an experience where they not only learn about science and social science-politics, civics, economy, culture but also in that process are sensitized to realities.

For this purpose, this year, Jades are visiting -Gram Pawarwadi 30 minutes drive from Baramati. This village has been selected on the basis of the fact that Mr. Shinde, one of the school trustees has a permanent residence there. Hence, the students’ and teachers’ lodging and boarding arrangements have been made at his house. Since his family has been involved with working for the village in different capacities, students have the opportunity of interacting with the Gram Panchayat, learning about agriculture and so on.

Children will be accompanied by their class teacher, Subject teacher and a service staff.
