Math Workshop For Pre primary Parents

Dear Parents,
The Orchid School cordially invites you for the Math Wokshop on.
Date & Day: 2^nd July Saturday
Time: 9.00 am  to 12 noon.
Venue- The Multipurpose Hall. In the past, we have had successful ‘Language approach workshops’.
 

What comes to your mind, when you hear the word “Maths”?-    Maths  is beyond calculation. We do not want to make children into a mere calculator. Children of this age group have not yet developed the ability to think logically or in an abstract way. They learn by using their body that is their senses. They are not yet The Orchid School cordially invites you for the Pre-Primary   Maths workshop on 2^nd July 2011 ready to understand symbols, but learn best, by interacting directly with things in the environment.
 

To ensure that the children develop clear and sound concepts, they should be taught by using real objects / concrete situations by giving pictorial experiences for reinforcing the same concepts. Keeping this in mind, we have planned a Maths workshop and would like all of you to be a part of it. This is a platform where we share our teaching styles and methodologies, so that you could help to reinforce these concepts at home.
 

Kindly, fill in the registration form and send it by Friday 1.7.11 – the registration fee of Rs 100 /-would include refreshments and hand-outs. Registrations are open on the day of the workshop too.
 

Please note – Please bring along with you an empty shoe or a shirt box for the workshop and writing material.
